SCF871116 Unidentified Black Female Discovered near Shaw's Creek off of Highway # 91 in Aiken County, South Carolina on November 16, 1987
  • The victim had been deceased for at least five years prior to discovery.

  • Vital Statistics
    • Estimated age: Officials estimate the woman was 20-23 years old, although she could have been anywhere from 18 to 30.
    • Approximate Height and Weight: 5'8 - 5'10; 150-160 pounds
    • Distinguishing Characteristics: Lean build. A healed fracture was detected on the left side of her nose and a healed injury on her right knee.
    • Dentals: She had a pronounced overbite. First molar missing from the right lower jaw which has a well healed socket; no dental restoration present; five teeth missing postmortem but have no damage to the sockets.
    • Clothing: No clothing located.
    • Other: Possibly Caribbean native. Her hair tested positive for cocaine.
    Case History
    Because she was found close to the Edgefield County line, officials speculate she might have come from a migrant camp in peach country.
    Her murder may be related to several other unsolved cases of unidentified African-American women in Aiken County, including Jackie Council's homicide and SCF930125.
    All three victims were located unclothed and were approximately one-half a mile from each other. The imprisoned serial murderer Henry Louis Wallace has been questioned in each of their deaths, as he admitted to assaulting and murdering African-American women in the South Carolina region in the early 1990's. Wallace admitted to killing eleven North Carolina women and one South Carolina female. He has not been charged in any of the Aiken County cases.

    SCF930125 Unidentified Black Female Located on January 25, 1993 in Aiken, Aiken County, South Carolina.

    There are indications the victim was shot or stabbed, perhaps both. She may have been deceased since 1988.

    Vital Statistics
    • Estimated age: 25 - 32 years old
    • Approximate Height and Weight: 5'4 - 5'7"; Her exact weight is unknown.
    • Distinguishing Characteristics: She had a slight to medium build. She was right-handed. Details such as eye wear, scars and moles are unknown.
    • Dentals: She had protruding teeth; dental records are available.
    • Clothing: The victim was found unclothed.

    Case History
    The victim was discovered near Shaw's Creek off of Highway 191 in South Carolina. While her body was located in January 1993, it is likely that the victim died sometime between the years of 1990 - 1992. Her remains had been burned in a controlled groundfire.
    Her murder may be related to several other unsolved cases of unidentified Black women in Aiken County, including Jackie Council's homicide and SCF871116. All three victims were located unclothed and were approximately one-half a mile from each other.

    Estimated Date of Death: August or September 1988

    • Distinguishing Characteristics: Unknown

    Case History
    The victim's decomposed remains were discovered by hunters in an area off Red Hill Road, Columbia, SC on November 5, 1988.

    • Distinguishing Characteristics: Possibly Hispanic or Bi-racial. Brown hair; brown eyes. Suprapubic scar, no other scars noted. . No tattoos. She had manicured nails and was well-groomed. She had pierced ears. There were no additional identifiers present.

    • DNA: Available in CODIS database.
    • Clothing: None located

    Case History
    The victim was located on Cottonhall Road near the Yemassee line. It is believed that the unknown suspect murdered the victim in another location and successfully identifying the victim may bring quick focus on a suspect.

    On August 3rd, 2000, an unidentified source indicated that decomposed human remains were observed near a rest stop off I-20 in Darlington County, SC.

    SCF980513 Unidentified Asian Female Located on May 13, 1998 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
  • Cause of death was respiratory insufficiency.
  • Estimated age: 30 - 45 years old
    • Approximate Height and Weight: 5'2"; 105 lbs.
    • Distinguishing Characteristics: She had black hair. She had 5 scars on her left arm, three of these appeared round and they were located in the area of her left shoulder and left bicep. Another similar scar was located just above the victim's wrist in her forearm area. The front of her forearm had a larger scar about 1 inch in length.
    • Dentals: She had nine missing teeth.

    Case History
    The nude body of this victim was located behind a pile of debris off I-85 on Casual Drive, off North Blackstock Road in Spartanburg County, SC.

    SCF990329 Unidentified Female (black, possibly biracial) The victim was discovered on March 29, 1999 in Northeastern Richland County, South Carolina
  • Estimated Date of Death: March 29, 1999
  • Partial skeletal remains and burned
  • Estimated age: 20 - 40 years old
    • Approximate Height and Weight: Taller than usual based upon a larger knee.
    • Distinguishing Characteristics: Possibly mixed ancestry. Black hair, straightened, approximately 2 inches in length.
    • Dentals: Available. Missing 3 posterior teeth
    • Clothing: The clothing remains appear to be of a jean material.
    • Jewelry: One gold band with #s 925 and $ symbol on it; one bigger ring with #925 on it; one necklace without a pendant.

    Case History
    The victim was located on March 29, 1999 in northeastern Richland County, South Carolina by firefighters who responded to a fire in an abandoned shed located on Percival Road, a rural stretch of Hwy that runs parrallel to I-20, east of Columbia, South Carolina.
    The body was burned extensively, but was dead prior to the fire. Gasoline was used to start the fire.
